My Bio:  Under Construction!

Where to begin....  I guess my earliest recollection of a fascination for women's attire was from grade school.  Our class was studying medieval times and one of the class projects was studying the dress of the day.  Several of the mom's got together and created costumes for some of the members of the class.  My costume was for a prince and featured a very dressing brocade vest, leggings, and short satin skirt (as men were allowed to wear in those days!)  While I was fascinated with this costume, I was even more interested in the princess' gown, made entirely in shiny pink satin.  As luck would have it, I found myself alone with the costumes at some point and was able to experience my first satin gown.

From those early days, through many purges, I find myself today with the interest and ability to collect and wear women's formal wear.  I consider the bridal gown as the pinnacle of women's femininity and a sensuality unmatched by any other attire.  My first bridal gown came from an estate sale when I was in high school.  This gown was an older 40's style in silky ivory satin.  I didn't dress much during college and didn't obtain another bridal gown until a few years ago.  I now have six gowns in my collection, all fairly recent gowns, and all but two of them purchased new.

I generally do not dress in public and it's an interesting side note to mention I purchased all of these gowns in my male persona.  I have had very little trouble with shopping and have found most of the shop attendants very helpful and even excited to assist me.  I do hope to have the full bridal shop experience someday fully dressed.  As a crossdresser, I need to greatly improve my makeup and overall appearance.  I would love to shop "enfemme" someday for a complete bridal ensemble (slip, bra, stockings, gown, veil, etc.)

I hope to share some shopping experiences with you in the coming months.  I'd love to hear about your experiences and may set up a page to share these with others (with your permission, of course!)  That's it for now.

All of my best bridal wishes, Carolyn.
