Retirement and Teaching Schools
I retired from the service after20 + years and started looking for a job to support my family. This is something I haven't done in 20 years. It was a very scarry time, I had to get a job to support my family and to do that I had to travel to places where the jobs were. That took money which with out a job was not something we had a lot of.
I had a bit of luck in that on the second job hunting trip I got accepted for a job doing one of the things I did in the navy, teaching electronics to the Navy. So for the next 6 years I was an instructor, Teaching the same subjects I taught in the service, to the same students, at the same base where I start my training, under the same conditions. The only difference was I didn't have on a uniform or the authority that went with it. The subjects were easy to teach and with out the duty and watches I had in while in the service. the job was a piece of cake. And the pay was a lot better. Our oldest child graduated from High school and followed his old man into the service. Only one kid left at home now.
At the end of six years We decided to try to get back to Florida Which is where the wife and I had decided to retire to. An opening became available as an instructor at a base in Florida. I applied for the job and was interviewed and accepted. We moved again, but maybe this would be the last time. The three of us moved to Florida. One good thing about the move with the money I was able to save over the time I was teaching and the money from the cashed in retirement account, we were able to buy a home at last. Not a very expensive house but it was ours.
I haven't said much about crossdressing in these last six years, but I must say that with more time on my hands and more money, I found myself crossdressing more and more. I would save money from my lunch money and buy cloths and makeup. I saved and hid them. It seemed as if every year I was drawn more and more to crossdressing. Still not out in public but that didn't seem to mater to me. I just had an eager to wear woman's cloths and it felt natural to me to wear a dress and panty hose. The more I did it the better it felt and the more I wanted to do it. When we moved to Florida I felt more comfortable in panties and pantyhose than in jockey shorts. In fact the last year before we moved I wore panties and pantyhose to work every day! Some times I would wear a Bra under my shirt and a suit vest to cover it up. This was possible because the dress code for instructors was suit and tie. We could remove our Suit coat in the class room. I have always been partial to three piece suits which made it easy when I wanted to wear a bra.
In Florida when we moved I played it straight for the first year. The dress code was much more laid back. Shirt and tie to start, but then dress pants and sports shirts. Pantyhose or panties under my pants after the first six months at least three times a week. Teaching in Florida was a little different, instead of just teaching a 2 week of 4 week section of the whole course I was required to learn and teach the entire course of instruction all 26 weeks. This required a lot of extra prep time. I now had to start a class at week one and take the whole class through to graduation. 26 weeks with the same class of students in a highly technical course of instruction as this school was is very stressful on the instructor. It is like teaching 2 years of electronics in 6 months. As the stress of teaching increased so did my desire to dress as a woman. I took every chance to dress as a woman including when the wile went to the store or to the beauty show or a movie. I started wearing panties from the time I dressed for work till I showered and changed for for bed. The wife never knew.
This continued until the government decided to close the base to "Save Money" . That's a laugh, it will take a minimum of 30 years just to pay for the new construction of class rooms and other facilities at the bases they transferred the schools and personnel to. again it was time to find a new job, this time I decided to not only change jobs but also professions. for the last 2 years at the base I was assigned to the learning resource center writing computer base learn programs for the course. I found that I enjoyed this type of work so with some help from the government I started a self paced training course in computer programming. The course was scheduled to take 18 month but with the skills I had developed over the last two years, it only took me 6 months of very hard work to complete the coarse of instruction.
A New Carrier and a New Job
Then it was time to try to find a job in my new vocation. I guess I have a angel looking after me as I sent out 20 job applications and got 6 replies. All good offerers, but all up north in cold country. Then I got a call from one of my instructor in programing, he said that there was a company here in Florida that needed a beginner programmer. I applied and was granted an interview with the head programmer. They didn't give me a job that day but the manager said he was requesting authorizing to hire me and we would have an answer in two days. True to his word he called two days later saying the if I didn't have anything better to do I could start work on Monday. The salary was to be almost twice what I was making as an instructor.
This was a job I could get into. I learn more in the first 2 months than I had in the previous 2 and a half years. It was a lot of long days as we were pushing a release date for a new application. I didn't mind the hours as I was learning my new vocation and enjoying it.
The company I was working for had a contract with the navy to create applications to manage training project. Just like The base this job came to an end because of a loss of a government contract.
No more government jobs
Again I was out of work, but this time I let a Head Hunter find me a job. In three days I had three interviews schedules and by the end the end of the week I had to deside which of the three jobs I wanted to take. The job I took was not a government job or with a company working on a government contract.
