Oliver (Steve) DeMenna Leonard (Lenny) DeMenna

Oliver Steve and Lenny DeMenna were cousins of the Weisingers. They lived with their parents Otto and Isabel at 195 Sumpter Street in Brooklyn in 1930. The DeMennas paid rent of $30 per month and had a radio.

Otto (b: 1892) was a WWI veteran and employed as a printer for a newspaper. His parents were both born in New York. He was ten years older than his wife Isabel (b: 1902). Isabel’s parents were both born in Italy. They were married in 1922. By 1930 they had two sons; Leonard (b: 1923) and Oliver (b:1925).

Oliver hated his name and was called “Steve”; probably his middle name, says his cousin Lucille Weisinger, my mother. Steve served in the US Navy and Lenny served in the US Army during WWII.
