APARTMENT ZERO

A multi-layered thriller which never fails to elicit a strong emotional response, this movie creates an atmosphere of wicked sexual tension through the subtle use of suggestion and innuendo.

Set in an English-speaking community in Buenos Aires, the film stars Colin Firth as Adrian LeDuc, a sexually repressed cinephile with a penchant for the classics, who takes in a swaggering, handsome boarder (Hart Bochner) with many skeletons in his 'closet'. Suspicions abound as gruesome political murders haunt the Argentine city upon the arrival of Adrian's new roommate.

Firth and Bochner shine in their roles, as do a talented supporting cast. Director Martin Donovan uses stylish camera work and extreme close-ups to seduce the viewer into his world of intrigue.
