When
Dominique, a handsome, but anomalous straight man (he has exquisite taste in
antiques!) finds himself in financial straits, he needs a job to keep his wife
and two children in their home. He takes a
job at an antique dealer, who is an outrageous old queen, but has to pretend
to be gay to keep his job. Egged on and supported by his wrestling partner and
friend, Dominique has his work cut out for him trying to pull the wool over
the eyes of the queens in his boss’s circle of friends. On top of it all,
his wife suspects he has turned gay, and turfs him out of the house.
This French Canadian movie is a hoot, although the super-stereotypical gay
characters could have been toned down a tad.
Highly
recommended.
