Herbert Ross turns out an expertly acted, rather
melodramatic, but intriguing biography about the legendary dancer Nijinsky
(played by American Ballet Theatre star George de la Peņa) and his professional
and private relationship with his mentor/lover/ impresario Sergei Diaghilev
(Alan Bates in an impressive performance). Supporting cast includes Leslie
Brown, Colin Blakely, Jeremy irons, Alan Badel and Janet Suzman.
