Sensual, lushly photographed and highly homoerotic, this
vision of the legend of St Sebastian is filled with beautiful images of male
bodies, and graphic scenes of sex and torture. St Sebastian is shown as a Roman
soldier, who, because of his Christian beliefs, is sent to an isolated Sicilian
encampment and into virtual exile. His fellow soldiers and their captain,
Severus, become involved in narcissistic and sadomasochistic intrigue which
culminates in Sebastian’s death when he refuses to have sex with the captain.
It is subtitled, with the original soundtrack in colourfully lewd street Latin.
