"Trick" tells the story of Gabriel, a songwriter who has problems with writing lyrics from the heart. Looking for inspiration he lets his roommate have the apartment for the evening and decides on an evening out on the town.
In a cruise bar he comes across a sexy go-go dancer called Mark. Gabriel makes eye contact with Mark but doesn't care to go further than that. But when they meet again on a subway train, Gabriel can't deny the attraction between them and then everything starts getting messy.
Determined to spend the night together, they go through one hassle after another trying to find a place to have sex. Even though they don't succeed, when the night is over, they feel that they have shared something together much more important than a one-night-stand.
