Thoughts
Hi and welcome to the grand opening of Hotel Michelle!!! I am thrilled that you have stopped by, and I hope you will visit often to relax, kick off your heels and be entertained by your humble proprietor--me!

I want to take a second and acknowledge Kevin at TWS, who without his tremendous help and creativity the Hotel would never have been built! Love ya lots, sweetheart!!!!!!!

In this room of the Hotel I plan on sharing with you some thoughts about myself and my views on things transgendered. Trust me, I'm not some activist by any means, but I figure everyone else is throwing in their two cents worth about something nowadays--why not me. But don't worry,I'll try not to be controversial--that's really not my style. If you want controversial, go listen to Howard Stern (who I happen to like, by the way). For this inital installment I thought I'd share a little bit more about little 'ol me.

Like most girls, I've been dressing ever since I can remember, purging at various times and basically trying to deny that Michelle exists. Well, about two-three years ago I basically said "screw it--I'm gonna ride this out as far as my circumstances will allow and see where it takes me!". What you see in the rooms of the Hotel is pretty much the outcome of that realization--although Michelle will always be a work-in-progress! I should tell you all that I am married and deal with a very unsupportive domestic situation. So as you can imagine, it creates limitations. You know what I mean--can't hit the NYC clubs every weekend, can't totally shave, would love to keep the toenails painted and eyebrows plucked, but . . .Must I go on?? I think you get the picture.

I'm sure a number of you who are reading this face similar circumstances. But I think we all make the most of our situations so that we can explore our feminine sides as best we can. I've often told my girlfriends, "I just try to make the most of what I have to work with". Because you know, at the end of the day, if you can look yourself in the mirror (while you're struggling with your eyeliner!), and can honestly say that than you're WELL on your way to being the best girl you can be!

Well, enough of my ramblings--more to come in the future as soon I get inspired!

Love ya, Michelle ;-)
