East
Is East
Damien
O’Donnell’s directorial debut, East is East , is a raucous
comedy about what happens when a house full of teenagers decides to
rebel against their father’s archaic traditions. George Khan (OM
PURI, My Son the Fanatic) is the father of seven free-spirited
children. He wants the best for them which, in his mind, means
raising them in the traditional Pakistani custom. Unfortunately for
George, his family lives in a London suburb surrounded by the
current cultural phenomenon: 1970’s psychedelic hippiedom. The two
lifestyles couldn’t be more at odds.....
