| CATS - Lemar Andre Smith, a detention guard who pleaded guilty to raping a transsexual woman while he worked at the Krome Detention Center for emigrants, was sentenced to serve 16 months in prison. He has been convicted of two counts of sexual assault and sexual abuse. He is facing up to 20 years of incarceration for the rape of Christina Madraso. The rapes came to light only after Ms. Madraso dared to speak publicly about her ordeal. |
