Helena started out her carreer as a dancer, studying under barisnikov among others . During a tour of the united states with the Moscow ballet, she saw her first synchronized swim meat, and immediately fell in love wit the sport.
She returned to Russia with a new goal in her life, to bring Synchronized swimming to the masses, which she did with a vengence. Russians took to the sport like no other, and dubbed her "Mother Russia" for her poetic grace in the water.
Unfortunately, her carrerr was tragically cut short during the 1980 moscow olympics when a groin pull ended her swimming carrrer. She spends most of her time now choreographing routines for the current swim team.
Feel free to drop her a note and offer her some support.
