#5 "The Jerry Springer Show"
Even though this is not that great of a talk show, it is highly entertaining. Some of the topics are so out there that you just can't help but chuckle. The show used to be a lot better before they cut the violence out. Not much thought is required to watch but sometimes "no-brainers" are good. Trailer trash, Ghetto girls, Drag Queens, Gangster Boys, Sluts, Whores, Prostitutes, Flaming Queens, Bull Dykes, etc... No one is safe from this show.
airings: Monday through Friday 11:00 on WB (channel 10)

"Charmed"
When I first saw the promotional spots for this show on the WB channel, I wrote it off as fluff. I just happened to be home when this show came on and I was hooked. It has a cult following similar to "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer" (of which I'm not a fan of). It's about three modern day witches Prue (the eldest and wisest sister played by Shannen Doherty), Piper (the middle sister played by Holly Marie Combs), and Phoebe (the youngest and naive sister played by Alyssa Milano). These girls are so cool. Trust me, watch one show and you will be hooked. By the way, the one reason why I like this show is because I'm a big fan of Shannen Doherty.
airings: Thursdays 9:00 p.m. - WB - channel 10
#3
"Will And Grace"
The first primetime show on network TV about an out Gay man. This show is hilarious! The show has a great ensemble cast. Each character interacts with one another wonderfully. It's about Will (played by straight actor Eric McCormack) and his straight roommate/best friend Grace (played by Debra Messing) with their good friends neurotic queen Jack (played by Sean Hayes) and bitchy Karen (played my Megan Mullally).
airings: Tuesdays 9:00 - NBC - channel 5
"Ally McBeal"
Another show with a great ensemble cast. This show centers around a neurotic lawyer named Ally McBeal (played by Calista Flockart) and the interactions between the other lawyers - Richard Fish (Greg Germann), John Cage (Peter McNichol), Elaine (Jane Krakowski), Renee (Lisa Nicole Carson), Billy (Gil Bellows), Georgia (Courtney Thorne-Smith), Nelle (Portia De Rossi), and Ling (Lucy Woo). A very addicting show. Thanks to my friend, Clara, for getting me into this show.

airings: Mondays 9:00 - FOX - channel 13

"OZ"
I think I have a thing for shows with a great ensemble cast. This one is no exception. This has got to be the hottest show on television. Thank goodness it's on HBO because it would suck if this show was censored. It's about life in Oswald Maximum Security Penitenitary ("OZ" for short). This show is so gripping and realistic. Graphic images are abundant in this show. Racial tensions between the inmates (Aryans, Muslims, etc), gay storylines (Beecher/Keller story), violence among inmates are so provocatively entwined in the storylines. I'm so glad that I am not or ever have been in prison. This is the first time that I was so hooked on a show that I plan my schedule around it. Thanks to my brother, Tony, for having me watch one episode (I had never heard of it). Now, it's my all-time favorite show!

airings: Wednesdays 10:00 - HBO - channel 8
