Here are some of the plays that I have seen.  They were all really good.  I haven't seen that many but from what I've seen, I would love to see more!

Click on the the plays to take you to their websites (if available).

I was blown away when I first saw "Rent".  This is one of the best that I've seen.  The music was phenomenal and the storyline was fantastic.  It was cool to see a musical about modern times.  The social emphasis was AIDS, drugs, and homelessness.  I was surprised to see that they could make an overwhelming great musical with these topics.

I saw "Les Miserables" at the Fifth Avenue Theatre.  "Les Miserables" was a very intense musical.  Some of the music was so magical that it sent chills up my spine.  When the the finale played with the entire cast, it sent chills up my spine.

I saw "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" at the Paramount Theatre.  I understood the storyline very well due to my religious upbringing.  The stage show was very good.  Lot's of bright colors and very uplifting.  I saw the version with Sam Harris (of "Star Search" fame).  I would have loved to see the version that starred the ex-teen idol Donny Osmond (I still think he's really cute).

I saw "Show Boat" at the Paramount Theatre.  I was a very lavish production.  I just loved the old ragtime music that was throughout the play.

I saw "Titanic" at the 5th Avenue Theatre.  Yes, I was one of the people who jumped on the "Titantic" movie bandwagon and saw the play.  I was a little disappointed when I found out that it was different.  After seeing it, I enjoyed the musical more than the movie.

I saw "Bring In Da Funk, Bring In Da Noise" at the Paramount Theatre.  To be honest, I didn't think I would like this musical too much.  For some reason, I didn't think that a play made up with tap dancing would be enjoyable.  Boy, was I wrong.  The dance interpretations of the point of view of African Americans through the years was phenomenal.

I saw "Porgy And Bess" at the Tacoma Pantages Theatre.  I've wanted to see this play ever since reading the book in high school.  I did like this musical but was kind of disappointed.  I'm a sucker for happy endings and this musical didn't have it.

My favorite characters from "Rent" (Roger and Mimi).  I thought Roger was such a hunk!
