To Joan

Meet the love of my life, the one person in this world who can pull me out of my deepest depression and make me feel safe and warm. The one person I want to spend the rest of my life with. We met in college through a mutual friend, we became best friends and then the relationship grew to a higher level. Now she is my closest confidant, my best bud, and my lover.
After we admitted our love to one another we have found out who our real friends are. I must admit I was surprised at those who at one time called us their close friends who turned their backs on us and years of friendship. But we don't let that get us down...we now know who our friends are and cherish each one of them.

Many people believe that our love is wrong, unnatural. All I have to say to that is if that is so, why did God let us grow so close to one another? But also, if you don't like it, don't think about it. I am not in your face trying to push our lives onto you. I really don't care what you think. And also, you don't need to worry, I am not "checking you out" I have all I could ever want and more.

My Dearest:

Thoughts of you make my day brighter. Dreams of you fill my nights with happiness. To live without your love would be the cruelest of punishments . I often wonder how I lived through so many years without your love. Your love is the only thing that gets me through the day. Just the sound of your voice can put a smile on my face. The touch of your hand calms the most frattered nerve and can also stir the hottest passion. You make me feel safe, like noone on this earth could ever hurt me. With you, I feel loved, for the beast that I am. My thoughts of you are filled with happy memories and wonderful plans for our future together. I think of our future often, of the day when we can go to sleep in each other's arms and wake up looking into each other's eyes. Soon we can be together and build our home. I will always love, honor and cherish you, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health until death do us part.
