LYPSINKA

She's been described as a hells-a-poppin fireball of red hair on stage, and lists Joan Crawford, Lana Turner and Judy Garland as her main influences. It comes as no suprise that She lip synchs, as her carfully contrived name/logo suggests, but she has fe invented the form, turning tradition on its ear by mouthing with inhuman precision complicated audio montages fashioned from countless movies, musicals, literature and television.

Charles Pierce

Charles was one of the funniest "Female impersonators" of this century. Charles was one of the few remaining "Old Camp" drag artistes, and impersonated celebrities like Bette Davis, Tallulah Bankhead, Joan Crawford, Mae West and Carol Channing (who, after seeing Charles' show remarked "Charles darling! You're more Carol Channing than I am!!!")

Charles passed away May 31st, 1999.

MISS UNDERSTOOD

This is the website of the fabulous Miss Understood

A fixture on the downtown New York club scene, Ms. Understood runs a sort of "rent-a-drag queen" service that provides cross-dressing performers, waiters, entertainers, etc. for parties and private functions. She also acts as a coordinator for an offbeat modeling agency.

Miss Understood is based in New York City, and attributes her unusual style of dress to the fact that her father was a cake decorator!

FRANK MARINO

Frank is probably most famous for his uncanny likeness to Joan Rivers. Most of Frank Marino's popularity came about after he was served a five million dollar lawsuit from the lady of comedy herself "Joan Rivers" for his impression of her being maybe too good. This brought him national press and attention that landed him on the cover of the National Enquirer, featuring stories in People Magazine, USA Today, Variety and ten Show Biz Magazine covers. Along with all that he was featured on The Tonight Show, Good Morning America, David Letterman, and a television special with the father of TV, Milton Berle, not to mention his many sitcom and motion picture cameo appearances. Whenever Joan changes her look, Frank is quick to pick up on it. He starts the show with the straight hair style Joan wears and then progresses into the showier more flamboyant Rivers. But more than just hair and makeup Frank has had nine cosmetic surgery operations to look like Joan Rivers, from a nose job to cheek and chin implants. Frank admits spending between $50,000 to $100,000 on alterations. His motto is no pain, no gain
