(BWMT Memphis, a gay interracial social organization, recently dissolved after 18 years), and professionally with Friends for Life AIDS Resource Center, Memphis, TN 38104. Certified by the Red Cross as an HIV/AIDS Prevention Educator. PRIOR CAREER EXPERIENCE Management: Over 12 years of successful management of government personnel and resources. As Section and Department Head, established budgets for operating expenses and equipment procurement, maintenance, and replacement; established personnel work and shift schedules; managed work loads; planned and implemented supervisory and worker training programs; conducted staff meetings, coordinated special projects, and trained supervisors; wrote personnel performance evaluations, promotion recommendations, and disciplinary actions; maintained correspondence, equipment, and personnel records; performed various OSHA and similar command inspections to insure compliance with all Federal and military directives; insured all section and department work objectives were completed through coordination and communication with all levels of the organizational structure. Computer Skills: Literate in word processing and database management using various computer programs such as "Enable" and "Microsoft Office 98/2000." Literate in desktop publishing of newsletters, brochures, pamphlets, etc., using "Publish It" and other desktop publishing programs.
