Andi

Andi is a very, very good friend of ours. He's NOT a TV, but he does it so well, we had to share his photos with you! We've known him for quite a few years now and, like us, he's a fan of various cult television, film and theatre (this photo was taken when he was wearing one of his Rocky Horror outfits) He's got a real talent for costume, and not just female. One thing that always comes across in what he does it that no matter what character he's portraying, it will always be something out of the ordinary.

Two Views of Andi in Blue..... A couple of very different looks, as on the left Andi models a fishtailed evening gown, whilst on the right, he poses as an Andorian from Star Trek. He's one of many friends we've made through SF fandom.

One of the things that makes Andi so good at what he does is that he can go from one extreme to another. I don't know how, but he just makes it look so easy! Here he's taken the guise of Marilyn Monroe......

....whilst here, he's about as far removed from Marilyn Monroe as he could possibly get, as the pious Penguin from 'The Blues Brothers'.

Finally, proving Andi doesn't just do female characters, here he is at a convention as Ruby Rhod (from the Luc Besson film 'The Fifth Element'). The costume for this character, as for all the primary cast in this film, was designed by Jean Paul Gaultier. Andi, like myself and Helen, makes his own costumes. The common feature to all the costumes Andi makes is that they belong to strong characters. There's always an element of style running through what he does; not only is Andi a friend, he's also a very talented person!
