1. they are caring human beings 

2. they are nurses, police, politicians, teachers, carpenters, business people, engineers, students, plumbers, labourers etc. 

3. they are part of families, they are somebodys son or daughter, uncle, aunt, father, mother, cousin, nephew, niece or grand-child 

4. they pay taxes like every other person 

5. they come from all social classes, race, religions and cultures 

6. most live quietly in society and suburbia 

7. they have hopes, plans and dreams just like every other person 

8. they positively contribute to society in 1000 different ways 

9. they are caring, loving people who have feelings, need acceptance and love just like everyone else 

10. they are all ages 

11. their sexuality is only a small part of the total person 

12. they are the same person the day after they came out to you as they were the day before. 

Even if you dont realise you probably know a gay/lesbian and are unaware, because they dont wear signs advertising their sexuality.
