ALCOHOL and DRUGS

In Today's world, the pressure of drugs and alcohol can be enticing, especially if you have depression. Sometimes the pain of depression can get in the way of clear thinking, and make the dangers of drugs an alcohol seem not important while making your decisions. We understand that depression can alter one's inhibitions, because all you want to do is escape the pain. If you do not already take drugs, DO NOT START, because DRUGS ARE NOT THE ANSWER Here's why:

1.  Drugs alter your bodies functions, so that you are destroying yourself from the inside.

2. Depressants, such as Alcohol, make you more depressed than you really are, and lower your inhibitions so that you might try to hurt yourself while under the influence.

3. "Sniffing" household products, such as ammonia, and white-out, significantly lower the amount of oxygen that gets to the brain, so your body thinks you're drowning, and in effect, you are.

4. Drugs alter your sense of reality, making it seem like your problems are not there, while in reality, it's not fixing any problems at all, it will just hinder your recovery.

5. All drugs are addictive in one way or another, some drugs are so addictive, that you become dependent on them after your first try.

6. Intervenes drugs are more dangerous if you share, or use needles more than once. Never use someone else's needle, or else you might contract any number of blood born pathogens.
