Finding out that your child is gay can be hard for parents, But remember that your child did not choose to make it hard for you. Your child, by comming out to you is showing his/her love and trust for you by being honest about his/her sexuality. If your child has not come out to you yet, and you have just discoverd on your own, don't force the issue with your child. They have to tell you when they are comfortable too. Don't tell anyone else you know, even if you think it's okay with your child, because being "outed" is a horrible feeling.
Here is some information for you that I believe will be helpfull to you.
1. Your child did not choose being gay or bi.
2. Nothing you did caused them to be the way they are.
3. Your child was not "converted" by a gay friend or family member.
