Dear sweet surfer -- Well, I hope that you have found this site in good health, your good health, not this site - because we all know sick (and twisted) I can be... and if you don't know, brace yourself.... This site is about a girl. A simple girl from Jersey. A Jersey Girl, if you will... Within the pages of the electronic scrap-book slash self-expression slash bitch-fest... you will begin to piece together the random thought process that is I. Why exactly did I spell out /? An ideosincricy I suppose... To keep you on your toes, perhaps... or because I am beat and need to sleep - most likely. A bit about Moi... I am 29, Capricorn, Xenite, Gamer, Techie Geek, Photographer, Lesbian, I'm quiet, I keep to myself, I have few friends by choice. I am Married and live alone. It's a good deal if you can get it... Just kidding. I am actually working very hard to get my dyke ass into Canada, which is where my wife lives. Who knew it was so hard to get into Canada??? It's not like they are a real country or anything, EH? No, it's actually hard as hell, unless you are a refugee or float over on a raft. No, I am not suggesting that because I am white, or female, or American, or Lesbian, or blue eyed for that matter that I should be given any special rights over someone who is not any of those things. I'm just saying, because I am some or all of those things I am not AS elidgeable to go live with my life partner in the great white north. So here I am, Canadian-in-Training. IOK so, I graduated from the Chubb Institute of Technology in Parsippany, NJ in July of 2001. I made Honors, which was a royal pain in the behind, but worth it in the end. LOL excuse the pun. My course was 10 months, and for 8 of those months I did an internship. In the last two quarters I was in the Honors program which consisted of fulfilling a certian amount of hours helping other students with courses you've taken already. It was cool to help the kids who really needed it, and I may take up teaching later on in my career because of that positive experience. There is always bad with good, eh? There was one guy, who kept a schedule of when I was going to be there for the honors program and he made sure that he took up as much of my time as humanly possible, all the while sitting closer and closer to me, trying to look down my blouse, making up questions, asking the same simple questions over and over, etc. You always get one that makes you thank god you're a dyke. Some of the things I feel strongly about - Every fall the American Cancer Society has the "Walk for Breast Cancer" fund raiser at Liberty Park. I am thinking about trying to figure out how to make it possible for you, the ever-faithful surfer, if you so choose to, contribute to my walk. I'll come up with something, fret not! There is this thing I just recently heard about, an AIDS 3 day walk up at Bear Mountian. I don't know much about it, but if you click on Information it will point you to the site that has all the info. It is in July, and I am seriously thinking about doing it. Although, three days, sleeping in tents - I had major back surgery about a year ago and I'm not sure how well my back will hold up to that. John Araviosis. A few years ago, I stumbled upon this news-letter that is supplied by a gay-activist in D.C. I find his words insiteful, and his news-letter extremely informative. If you would like to subscribe to his list please click HERE. A few recent items that he has brought up for discussion - Stop Dr. Laura.com. Please visit and support this site for it is in our best interest as human beings, not just the gay and lesbian community. **Update I believe Stop Dr. Laura.com is no longer being updated - but please stop by anyway to read up and become knowledgable, even if I can't spell it.** Also the boy-cott of the Salvation Army. Please check out PFLAG's position on this issue. I want to write to Mr. Araviosis to see if I can post his emails here on my site - Until I do, and until he gives me permission, I will not be giving any more information on these matters. I'll try to see what I can do, because these issues are important to me, and to the gay and lesbian community - I really love this news-letter, can't you tell??? OK folks, I'm out -Please take a few moments to fill out my little questionnaire - I promise it's harmless and only takes a minute!! XT |
