Introduction |
At the moment CoSO is concentrating on consulting and working with Public Authorities on the drafting of the Equality Schemes required by the Section 75 Equality Duty. The draft schemes are coming in at a fast rate and CoSO needs all the help it can get from members of the LBGT community to make sure that we respond as fully as possible. CoSO has now completed its initial response to the draft equality schemes as prepared by various public authorities. Take a look for yourself Response to the Draft Equality Schemes
Please contact CoSO at the Rainbow Project and take a look at some draft Equality Schemes before you arrive so you'll have some idea of the ground we need to cover. Also read the Equality Scheme Guidelines that have been produced by the Equality Commission. Call the Equality Commission on Belfast 028 9050 0600 and request a copy of the guidelines.
