Introduction |
Coalition onSexual OrientationCoSO was established to bring together all the lesbian, bisexual, gay and transgendered organisations in Northern Ireland to ensure a coherent and coordinated response to the Equality Commission's work on the Section 75 Equality Duty (see Equality Commission) and the Human Rights Commission's work on a Bill of Rights for Northern Ireland (see Human Rights Commission) . It was also established to ensure that such responses were fully representative and accountable to members of the community.
CoSO has now finished its initial
response to the draft equality schemes as drafted by various public authorities
People can be part of CoSO as either representatives of LBGT organisations or as individuals. This website is our way of try to contact as many people so that our work with the Equality Commission and the Human Rights Commission is as comprehensive, representative and accountable as possible. Contact us via e-mail, through the website or call us at the below number and tell us what you think. CoSO receives no funding and has no paid employees. It relies heavily on the resources of constituent members. If you would like to volunteer to help out at CoSO please contact us via e-mail on the address given below.
