My crossdressing started when I was three. My cousins and I would go to my Grandparents house, and they would dress me up in my Grandma's square dancing dresses, as well as put lipstick and powder on my face. No one really thought a bit about it, but I believe that is when I fell in love with women's clothes.
I suppressed these feelings until I was about 10. One day my friends dared me to go into my parents bedroom and try on some of my mother's underwear. Being ten and being dared is a bad combination, so I did it. I got very excited when I did this!!!
I didn't know why I felt this way, so I repressed the feeling again until I was 12.
That is when I really started to cross dress "seriously". I remember going to my other Grandparent's house, and looking in a downstairs closet. There I found a wonderous treasure chest of my Grandma's old lingere. I found body briefers, padded bras, panty girdles, you name it, it was there. I took a couple of the items and tried them on. Boy or I mean girl :) was the feeling ecstacy. I kept those items, and put them in what I thought was a safe place. Oops, I was wrong. My mom found them a couple of months later, and questioned me about them. I told her I just wanted to touch them and that was it. She bought it, or she just never said anything about it again.
As time went on, I began to really increase my "wardrobe". I began to "borrow" lingere from my neighbor when she would go out of town and I would have to take care of her dog, my mom's panties weren't off limits either. Then, as I know a lot of crossdressers do, I got a guilty conscience, and purged them all. Probably the biggest mistake of my life. I really loved some of those things.
I stopped for about a year. Then as time went by, I began to feel I needed that special thing back into my life. I have been dressing occasionally ever since.
In March of 2002, I got up enough courage to spill my guts about Caren to my lovely wife. While she did not jump up and down in excitement, she was much more understanding than I thought she would be. Since that day, a lot has changed about our relationship. She now understands some of those things she didn't really before we got married, like why I acted so much more feminine than other guys my age. She also has allowed me to keep my stuff in our dresser drawers instead of hid away in some closet. She even bought a pair of stilleto heals for a Christmas present, although I had to take them back because I was going to break my neck if I tried to walk in them, but you know what they say...it's the thought that counts.
Caren has also found a big sister. Heather Sarah Snow has been a wonderful friend over the last couple of months. We have gone on a few shopping trips, one for a wig, and others for clothes. She also took me for my first outing. We went to Gigi's and had a wonderful time, and I got to meet some great girls. Anyway, thanks so much Heather for everything you've done thus far.
