Howdy,
I am a reporter for the Seattle Gay News. I will be in your fair city next Saturday for about four or five days. Our Editor would like me to write a story about Queer community organizing in Montana. I am especially interested in focusing on life for rural Lesbigay folk.
While I currently live in Seattle I have lived in rural communities most of my adult life. I am well aware about how truly small communities tend to be overlooked by progressive/Lesbigay organization(s)(ers). My most extensive period of gay activism was for rour years in Bend, Oregon.
Anyway, I would like to be able to interview folks while I am in Missoula for my story. Could you help me out in that regard? Perhaps we could arrange for a meeting of folks I could speak with?
It would also be great to be able to touch bases with folks before I head over there so I can get a better sence of the direction this story will take. If you could send a list of names and phone numbers of folks I could contact this week?
I would be more than glad to speak with whomever you are first if that would make things easier.
