2002/2003 Lake Tahoe Ski Cabin Gay Ski Cabin |

Wouldn't it be great to have your own home at Lake Tahoe near many of the Tahoe ski areas? To be able to go anytime you wanted, without the hassle of arranging lodging or finding travel mates? Well, unless you are planning to win the lotto and buy that dream cabin on the on the shores of bucohlic Lake Tahoe, you might want to consider another option. Why not share a season rental (ski lease) with 10-12 other gay skiers? It's like having your own place, but at a fraction of the cost. You can leave all your ski gear and ski clothes at the cabin and go up anytime you want during the ski season (even if you decide to go up at the last minute and catch some fresh powder). Some of SF Bay Area's gay ski club members have participated in shared cabin rentals before. Last year we organized a mostly SAGA group and are planning to organize a mostly SAGA group for this year again. Many of the ski cabin members even own four-wheel drive SUV's, car pool together, and ski together on the slopes. Please note that many of the ski cabin members did continue to meet up with the regular SAGA ski club trips (both weekend and one-day bus trips). Our ski cabin is an updated house in the Tahoe-Donner area in Truckee. It is in a great location centralized access to the northshore Tahoe ski resorts, including Squaw, Alpine, Northstar, and Sugar Bowl (all about a 20 minutes drive away door-to-door), and close I-80 freeway access. The 2000 square foot cabin has a spacious 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom configuration. The living room even includes a cozy sitting pit adjacent to the woodstove (woodstove is in addition to the forced air natural-gas heating). The place comfortably sleeps 12 in beds (queen, queen, two twins, four bunks, and queen sofa sleeper), plus two extra-thick foam sleeping pads which can be laid down upstairs so we can accommodate up to 14 persons). The house has all the usual amenities such as: color TV, DVD, VCR, stereo, dishwasher, microwave and washer & drier. If you're interested in joining this Lake Tahoe ski cabin with 10-12 other gay SAGA members for the 2002/2003 ski season, e-mail gayskicabin@aol.com for more information. We can give you more detaills, answer any questions you might have, and send you a picture or two of the ski cabin. (When you e-mail, please be sure to also leave a home phone number and, if possible, work phone number, too.) |
