DIARY 2000 22nd Feb 2000 Yupz! It's the Millenium! There was loads of hoo haa over the y2k thingy. Can understand why lah, the beginning of a new century and stuff. Hmm… I just thought that it's so commercialized and quite meaningless… I mean, why are we celebrating with such a bang? It's just another New Year right? Su had the same sentiments too…. We were just taking about that lack of anticipation for the New Year. This time round, I didn't spend my NY eve with Su, got an assignment to dance for a country club's dinner and dance on that night and I was to be there from 3pm till past midnight to earn a $300 pay (did three items - dances). Wanted to leave the place before the clock strikes 12am…. Called for a cab and rushed down to Su's place after that. Spent the whole of the new year just with my beloved. We had wanted to complete a 1020 piece jigsaw puzzle that night, hee hee… but couldn't finish it, and till this date ( 3 months from the 1st of Jan) the uncompleted piece is still lying on her desk at home. (We just finished it on the 23rd Feb with frames and all.. it's now hanging at Su's living room. Just above her aquarium.) We actually did up another puzzle before this. It's a 500-piece set, mound it on our own with plastic backing and cover. Now it's hanging on the walls of her room. Hmmm.. tried to do a mould thingy with "Plaster of Paris" .. got her that during her hospitalization last year. It was a impossible to get a smooth finish as shown on the cover of the box! Got really upset over that. Maybe white clay would have been better. It's really fun to do up stuff with her, be it cooking dishes, playing monopoly with her sister and her, playing Starcraft or even just lazing around. Still remember that day when we had a gathering at Mac's for our small "D'corner" group. (for PLU) to meet the newbies in the group, we went to the Botanic Gardens after that to feed the swans. It was the first time that I've ever been there to feed swans!! Really sweet of her. We still have yet to go prawning at Jurong reptile park there, wanted to do that for this year's V day, but didn't have time to spare that day. We would love to go fishing together too!! Cause I used to go fishing with my gang of friends and my ex quite often. You know, go to the beach and fish for prawns and catch crabs with nets! Then do a BBQ thingy with DIY bbq pits , then an overnight thingy, before we'll proceed to civilization for breakfast or movie to round up the day. It's been quite awhile since I fished liaoz. Chinese New Year that day, as usual, my family waits at home for relatives to come for a visit.Most people go to their relative's house to "bai nian" or in other words " go visiting". In my case, our relatives gather at my place. Su and I had arranged to meet after her visiting and my gathering in the evening, however, she was able to come over my place with her sis much earlier that day. She played monopoly with me and my cousins and had a wonderful time together! We met up with some friends of mine after dinner for a movie and coffee over at Bugis and I stayed over her place for the night. Had wanted to finish up the puzzle but.. just too plain lazy, went straight to zzzzz once at her place. :P. I did not expect my mom to question me about Su and I the next day when I went home for dinner. All went smooth and well, my parents treat her well, and I am welcomed at her place too. I found out that my Aunt was saying stuff about Su and that I might get influenced by her and stuff like that (attached to her) My parents were naturally upset over their accusations ,needless to say. My panick button was pressed real hard that evening. Told Su about it and it did not help us in anyway, just got the both of us worried for a while. I mean, it is inevitable that something like that will happen, but just that both of us didn't want to face it. Su got me a bouquet of two-tone tulips (3 of them) with Baby's Breathe (my fav flower) on the eve of Valentine's .I joined Su and her Mom and Sis for lunch over at Edo sushi that Saturday, and even went to shop for a PC with them. The one she got at home crashed and her poor sis got no internet access for the past two weeks! They settled on a Digitek PC at that shop where I got my laptop. Su helped me choose the model , I still remember that. I got my own laptop only like 6 months ago. :) after that we had a dinner gathering with my dance-mates before separating from the group. It was then that she surprised me with the tulips . I was really touched. She used up all her cash she has in her wallet that day, just to buy that for me. (Bouquets are really expensive on V eve/V day) We are both quite broke this few months. We had a swell of a time shopping over at Suntec City, even though the tulips protested to the heat by opening bigger as we shop around in the "not as cool environment as the fridge". By the time we returned to school, both of us were really exhausted and I placed my tulips nicely upside down to dry. It's now beautifully dried , hanging from my window binds in school. We had a simple Valentine's day this year. I didn't get my dear anything tangible. Yet again, Su surprised me with a bouquet of Broccoli!!! It was really sweet of her. "My darling must have a bouquet today"she insisted , despite the fact that I received tulips from her already the day before. We had a day's outing at Marina Square, exchanged hand written notes to each other (the only tangible gift I gave Su that day and my gift for Valentine's day was actually dinner and entertainment on V day itself……. We went to Cuppa Link for our dinner. They got a very casual and relaxed atmosphere there, it's there that we had our Valentine's Eve eve celebration last year. Went to the same place, same seat (area) , there's another str8 couple beside us that day. They looked so serious!! Had loads of fun at the Arcade and tried to shoot some air pistol, but the waiting list was too long. Didn't have the chance to try that out. I feel really alive and young with Su, told her that I always feel happy in her company, always did , always have and always will. Was really happy that day, got to spend some quality time with Su. Before that, we've been rather busy and stressed with our own work (final year projects). In another week's time, we will be celebrating our 1st year anniversary! Really excited about it. Even though we both know that we are in fact very much "attached" to each other before we got officially attached. Hmmmmm………. No plans yet, I just want to be with her that day. Not to mention, her birthday's 6 days' after our anniversary! Major headache, what can I get for her??? |

| 2nd March 2000 We celebrated our 1st year Anniversary on the 29th of Feb instead of 1st march cos' both of us are rather busy on the actual day itself. Had a great time out from noon till past 12 mid night. I got Su a pocket watch that can change it's face's clor according to the tempreture!! Su got me coffee and coffee mints in a lovely container!! Had a really fun time watching two movies. " The Bachalor " and "The Duel" We both thought that 1st Movie was really appropriate for our day. Got us really warm and lovey dovey. :) One year flies pass just like that. I feel that both of us have grown up lots, with each other and I feel that personally, I've grown more attached to Su. A friend once sent an email to me: How do you tell if you are in love with a person? You have to ask yourself two questions: " Who do you run to to share your Joy and happiness with?" then you have to ask yourself: "Who do you run to to confide and share your sorrows and fears and secrets" If that person is the same and the one and only, you've found your life partner. I agreez with this. I've found Su.
Hey.. btw, we both got our ICs on the 8th of April. We went to SIR to do up our IC on the 8th of March. Hee hee.. no more illegal immigriants liaoz.! =P
