In Memory of a Sister Karen Anne Vix

To all members...I just received an e-mail from the boyfriend of a Sister, Karen Anne Vix, who is believed to be one of the many innocent victims of New York's World Trade Center tragedy on September 11th. I had never met Karen in person, but we struck up a friendship in the old Donna's/Debbie's Den chat room a long time ago in my pre-coming-out-of-the-closet days. Karen was well known for doing mass mailings to all of her Sisters whenever she came across some funny TG-related stories -- as well as insightful messages that made us feel good about ourselves. Karen's boyfriend said that she had gone for a 9:30am interview at the World Trade Center Building #2 on that fateful morning of September 11th and that she has not been heard from since. In his own words: "I can still hear her 5" high heels clicking on the road to the bus and see her long red hair flowing in the breeze. And her hips sway in that red and black plaid skirt. I remember arguing with her that morning. I thought it was too short for an interview. Oh how I wish I could speak to her again. I miss her." That just made my eyes watered. When I was watching the TV all day on September 11th, my eyes were red even though I did not know anyone personally that was killed that day. But now, with this bad news, it re-opens the wound all over again. Good-bye Karen. You're probably the cutest looking T-girl with the shortest skirt and the highest heels flying around in Heaven right now. With Love, Denice ****************************************************** For web pages on Karen Anne Vix:
