directly against the BMW Z3, the Mercedes SLK and the Porsche
Boxster the R70 would be powered by the well known 2.3 litre
turbocharged 5 cylinder motor which produces 176kw and 330nm of torque. The body is constructed out of lightweight composite
materials to reduce the weight disadvantage convertibles are
normally handicapped with. The carbon fibre hardtop can be
removed leaving an electrically controlled 'rag-top'. Expected 0-100kph
would be close to 6 seconds and top speed in the region of 240kph.Original size: A3
