A little about myself. I was originally born in NE Ohio way back on August 13, 1964 just outside of Cleveland and the shores of the beautiful (then combustible) Lake erie. I spent the first nineteen years of my life in this area, living with my two brothers Rick and Ed, and my parents in suburbia. I graduated in 1982 from Nordonia High School in Macedonia, Ohio. In high school I was interested in many things including marching band and general fooling around. After graduation, I attended Ohio University in Athens. After this point in my life...my parents decided to move to Texas. I then transfered to Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches (a.k.a. Naca-where?). I received a BBA in marketing and management in 1986. I also met my first boyfriend there and he convinced me to pursue and finally get my MS in Biology. I attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas to work on my PhD in Microbiology. I am working at Lexicon Genetics in the department of Oncology. I am also adjunct faculty for Montgomery College in The Woodlands where I teach a course in Microbiology. I am still living in Houston with my boyfriend of over 4 years. Summer of 2003 we took the plunge and bought a house together and have spent the last year doing renovations and lots of yardwork...pics soon to follow.

I am active in the Houston community serving on the boards of two organizations. I am a past Triad member and current newsletter editor of Houston Area Bears (AKA HAB) and current president of Asians and Friends Houston (aka A&FH) My interests outside of work include cooking,, freshwater planted aquaria , camping and hiking, astronomy, ceramic arts and many other things with which I find myself wasting great deals of time. I am also very interested in the visual arts. I have lately started to share some of the interests of my boyfriend like weightlifting and physical activities. He has also been involved with a gay rugby team, The Roughnecks, which did quite well this past year.

By searching through the other parts of this homepage, other aspects of my life will emerge, and hopefully give you a better impression of who I am (i.e. here is a pic). I created a boyfriend application. to help me in the search for finding that one TRUE man in my life (like there can be only one!) Since i have found him already, i just keep the bf application up for fun :) If you would like to apply, please respond to the application!!! Can't promise any results...but it can't hurt to try!
