I attended
the University of Kansas from 1992 to 1996. For that entire time,
I majored in Geography. Yes, that's right...the entire time.
I never once changed my major.
I graduated from the University of Kansas
on 19 May 1996. Four years after I had started, I finally got
my degree...a B.A. in Geography. It was one of the happiest times
of my life. Below is an image taken shortly after Graduation
ceremonies at Memorial Stadium. It includes myself (in the middle,
with Birkenstocks & shorts) and my wonderful parents.
For my first three years at KU, I lived at Amini
Scholarship Hall, one of the better student residence facilities
at the university. My first year at Amini was also the first
year of its existence. Click on the image to the left to get
a better look of Amini Scholarship Hall.
For almost my entire time at KU, I volunteered
for Student Union Activities (SUA), a campus organization respnsible
for bringing events for the university community, such as music,
concerts, lectures, art exhibitions, and movies. I worked on
the Feature Films Committee, responsble for bringing big name
movies to campus. SUA is a great organization, and I had a blast
working and helping out for SUA.
During my Senior year, I worked at the
Thomas Smith Map Collection/Library at KU (located inside Anschutz
Science Library). It was a great experience.
