ScareCrow on IRC
(Internet Relay Chat)
Where to find me and loads of other cool IRC stuff!

If you're on the Net and haven't heard of IRC, you must have been on Mars (although I suspect that even the Martians are in on the fun). IRC, or Internet Relay Chat is a an assortment of programs that form a multi user chat system. Log on, choose a nickname and you're on your way. It's a great way to meet people and make new friends on dozens of different channels, with a huge range of topics.

As far as gay channels go, you can find people chatting about a range of topics, from HIV/Aids, local area information, general friendly chat, to getting down and dirty with some good old fashioned Cyber-Sex.

The Australian IRC network is Oz.org and can be accessed by a number of servers. Australian based servers I am aware of are, onthenet.goldcoast.oz.org, aussie.sydney.oz.org and mpx.sydney.oz.org and there is a US based server is located at davis.oz.org. All connect on port 6667 to the best of my knowledge. I am sure that this list is by no means complete, so if anyone has any others, please email me and let me know.

Whilst I do wander around the available channels, if you feel like dropping in to say hi, you can usually find me on #gayspace. In the short time I have been online I have found this to be one of the nicest bunch of people around. The channel topic says it all...

As you can see from the background wallpaper and the screen shot of #gayspace, I am a self confessed Pirch fan. In my humble opinion, it's the best IRC client available today. Everyday I continue to learn something else this great program is capable of. Do yourself a favour and give it a try, follow the links below to download the software and visit some other cool Pirch sites.
