If you love something set it free. If it returns to you, it was a real Australian boomerang. If it doesn't, it was made in Taiwan.
-Mikhail Pokrovscky-
This project came about in my life like every outrageous act of mine often does because, I'm not supossed to. Needless to say, I endured painstaking hours of cropping, rezising and altering photographs, I had found that captured the essence of the work in question. I went through so many hours of frustration, watching my work crash at a moment's notice and I must have howled so loud at times, that I think the leftover fur trappers in Siberia must have found themselves cruelly being awoken by me.
You know not know the hours, I spent drawing and filling in the colors of those bunny drawings. The end result amazes me, to this day. I had no idea, I was capable of this. Teaching myself how to do the impossible, then again that word I have never understood.
I simply hope that you can find some inspiration in my words and remember that I am chronically insane yet I have learned to act it out, in the most creative ways, I can think of. So here in creative format are the poems I wrote while on my way to work, going to a stupid "date", on my way downtown to meet a friend and waste precious time blabbing about nothing. Originally written in paper napkins, writing pads I would "borrow" from work and the occassional ATM receipts.
Enjoy!
I would like to take a short moment to thank of all of those individuals who assisted me in seeing this project to its completion. My mooer pals for enduring my constant AWOL stunts, Alfonsina Cabrera for looking after me and keeping me properly inspired by choosing appropriate background music, Maureen McGillan for showing me how to use my Paint Shop Pro program.
Last but not least, my feline companions who stood by me or should I say, jumped on my lap to get the flickers of attention, I could give them. Those leaps of devotion from them, I viewed them as breaks during my work. Also, Gabsta da stuffed pup for enduring long journeys to places unknown and Shoni, my stuffed scruffy rabbit, for keeping me safe and loved in my loneliest of nights.
Note: There have been more poems written under the last category, that I haven't been able to code yet. I'll add them as I am able. Thank you!!
