More on me...

Sierra Vista High School

Left: Varsity wrestling, 1993. In high school I was involved in many activities. So much that some friends called me a "Renaissance Man." I played the viola in the District Orchestra and was the first of many students that eventually was accepted to the All-Southern California (1990-1993) and State honor groups (1992-1993). In my junior and senior years, I was into Drama and although our program was small, took advantage of being in every production until I graduated. I wrestled for three years (1990-1993) and was involved in the Associated Student Body as the historian, which got me interested in photography. On top of all that, I managed to stay an honor student.

In 1993, as a junior at Sierra Vista High School in Baldwin Park, California, I was the Montview League champion at 125lbs. I graduated in 1994 as one of three valedictorians of my class, earned the Best Actor award in Drama and was off to the University of California, Irvine to become an Environmental Engineer.

Left: My 1997 graduate photo. Published in the 1998 yearbook though I didn't walk at graduation. Right: 1998 T.E.A.C.H. photo.

The first year in university was spent in a daze waiting to get through the year. In the next couple years I would increasingly hate my major, take a job with the Associated Students (T.E.A.C.H. Editor, 1994-1998) take another job in University Advancement, then realize the money to be made in Engineering was going to be worth the trouble and anxiety of the courses I took.

In the fall of 1996, I moved in with Kim (not pictured), Clarisse, Erma, me and Shawn, my boyfriend at the time. For nearly two years we lived as a houshold making it through college, with the exception of Erma, who had since graduated and taken a job with Northrop Grumman. She would soon get a job with Boeing as an Electrical Engineer.

In 1996, Shawn and I broke up, but continued living together. This began a period where I was going out too much with friends who really weren't my friends. At any rate, my weekly haunt was Escandolo at Axis nightclub (now the Factory) on Wednesday nights in West Hollywood. To the right is a flyer from 1997.

Sadly in the fall of 1998, a huge fight between me and my roommates forced us all to split up. Shawn moved back to Las Vegas, the girls left bitterly after calling the police on us boys, and I spent the remainder of January 1999 alone until finally moving out.

I received my B.S. degree in 1999 in Environmental Engineering.

Since graduating from UC Irvine in 1999, I worked for an environmental consultant in Irvine, left the consultant, and now have a job with the City of Los Angeles.

Life is good right now with the love of my life, my partner(below), Marcel - world traveller, of over two years.

I wrestle with the Southern California Wrestling Club in West Hollywood and am focused on the 2006 Gay Games in Montreal, Canada. I'm nearly complete with my Masters in Public Administration from Cal State L.A.

I get out mostly to West Hollywood bars nowadays, usually for a drink or circuit club. Circuit events are also a great time.

I appreciate my quiet time as well. Watching "The Avengers" at home or spending time with my boyfriend at his place in Silverlake relaxes me fine.

I listen to mostly circuit music (Manny Lehman, Tracy Young, DJ Escape, Brett Henrichsen), although I enjoy listening to the latest electronica by Jason Bentley during his nightly show "Metropolis" and getting the party started Saturdays with "The Drop" by Liza Richardson at KCRW. Now that you're thoroughly bored...
