I'm glad you decided to visit me.
My name is Andy. This is probably the best
picture of me. At least this is what I looked
like before I got sick.
I'm from Cleveland, Ohio and.
I was born on October 31, 1978.
This is one of my mom's favorite
pictures of me.
Anyway, for those of you who are
interested, I was diagnosed with
Nodular Melanoma on April 29, 1998
and had surgery to remove
the tumor on May 1st, and I began
treatment on May 4th.
(I scanned this for someone I love.)
If caught early, the prognosis for this type
of cancer is good. Unfortunately mine
was not discovered until it had grown to
a thickness of almost 5mm, which is
quite serious. I am scared,
but hopeful. So, let's think
only good and happy thoughts.
