Tenchi1

       This page is something that I have wanted to do for quite some time now. I think that I first discussed it on the #WASHU# mailing list about a year ago. Tenchi Muyo! was the first anime show I ever watched. When I first found out about fan clubs dedicated to characters from my favorite anime, I was eager to join them all: the SAS (Sasami Appreciation Society), AFC (Ayeka Fan Club), RFFC (Ryoko Forever Fan Club), KOME (Knightly Order of Mihoshi Enthusiasts), etc., etc. There was only one problem… the lead character, the one from whom the show derives its title didn’t even have a page to his name. I was shocked! Where were all the Tenchi pages? Where were all the fans and the fan clubs? I asked around and searched the net, but I found nothing. There were nothing more than bios on him and the occasional picture here and there with most of them being group ones, sometimes you wouldn’t get either, and on some pages, you couldn’t even tell that Tenchi even existed.
        Something had to be done about this.
        Tenchi has always received very little respect. People refer to him as annoying, wimpy, whiny, and even gay. I just couldn’t tolerate such ignorance. Tenchi’s just a nice guy. He gets such a bad rap for it. He’s living proof that nice guys finish last. But there’s more to Tenchi. He cares for his family and friends and will protect them when they’re in danger, even if it costs him his life. Sure, he resists Ryoko and Ayeka, but what’s wrong with that? He can’t force himself to fall in love with either one. If he were to really feel something for any of the girls, he would speak up about it in his own shy, adorable way. He would handle it delicately as not to hurt whichever girl he was rejecting. He’s got a lot of heart and spirit in him. If you ask me, we need more guys like him.
        And so the Tenchi Enthusiasts Network began. This is a place built just for the purpose of fans showing their respect and admiration of Tenchi. I hope that this page will continue to build and grow over time and become something great. I appreciate all of the members so far and I thank you all for your support. I thank you for taking the time to read this.
