The String Bikini has a contoured pouch, covered elastic waistband, and full seat. It's a sexy, comfortable bikini. However, the covered elastic waistband can be difficult to construct, so I suggest that you attempt this one only after you've had some success with the other patterns on this site. The instructions are written for the bikini to be made from one color of fabric, but it can easily be made from two, as shown here. It is designed to be made without a lining (see sewing tips about swimwear lining). TThe pattern is made for waist sizes SMALL 28-30 inches (70-75 cm); MEDIUM 31-33 inches (77.5-82.5 cm); LARGE 34-36 inches (85-90 cm). Requires: 1-1/2 yards (1.37m) spandex; 1-1/2 yards (1.37m) of 3/4 inch (18mm) elastic; 1-1/2 yards (1.37) of 1/4 inch (6mm) elastic. Please see this note regarding fabric requirements. Level: Advanced
