Editorials on GCER and the city human rights amendment
Public opinion has been very supportive in the local papers with letters to the editor.
An number of uninterested citizens were shocked at how the city council dealt with its own
Human Rights Commission when it crushed discussion on the amendment and unanimously rejected
the proposal without comment. Since then, civic leaders, ministers, parents, educators,
professionals and gay residents have supported GCER.
