Ukraine 2008

This page show some pictures from my Summer 2008 trip to Ukraine. A very interesting country, with the big advantage (compared to most of the ex-Soviet states) that most persons from the developed world no longer need a visa to go there. Photos are taken with a Pentax Optio S5z. You can click on one of the small images embedded in the text to see a larger image.

Mikhayilevsky Cathedral, Kiev St. Michael's Cathedral is one of several golden-domed cathedrals in Kiev. It was demolished between 1934 and 1936, and re-built mainly during the years 1991 and 2000.
Statue of Lenin, Yalta This splendid statue of Lenin stands majestically at the edge of the main square on the sea front in Yalta. Good to see that there are still some statues of the old bloke around.
