Free Homepages

Geocities
| I strongly recommend Geocities. They have an "EZ Upload" feature that is really easy to use but you can also edit your homepages right online as well. The only problem is that although they used to be really easy to apply for, you now have to take some extra steps. You'll need to go into the neighbourhoods, and find a "house address" that is empty and apply for it. Geocities is the best free homepage provider I've seen.

Tripod
|
From what I've seen so far, Tripod seems like a pretty good web space provider. They're not quite as good as Geocities, but they are really easy to apply for. The one cool thing about Tripod is that, unlike Geocities, they have sub directories.

Angelfire
|
Angelfire is also a pretty good web space provider. It's fairly easy to apply for and is easy to update. Also, I believe Angelfire has sub directories too.

Phrantic's Trailerpark
|
They are currently working on Phase 5 and therefore aren't letting anyone apply for homepages right now so I haven't been able to test them out.

|
This site is really cool! I got a lot of my backgrounds from Rose Love's Pride Graphics and a few icons too. Rose has some of the best pride graphics I've seen.

|
This site has almost anything you'll need- backgrounds, and tons of icons. The backgrounds are really excellent and the icons are small but good. The background on this page is from Icon Bazaar.

|

This site has some pretty cool animated icons. A lot of good stuff for beginning web page designers such as "under construction" and "welcome" signs.
