Hey, I am sorry to bother you with this. But I am in a similar situation. He is my best friend. Only one problem, he lives almost 2000 miles away. We are gonna make it work though. I have to say that I am pretty glad that I read your story. It was very touching and very forreal. I almost felt like I was reading my own life in way. I also met someone and it just happened and we actually are not together because he had to move back to germany(which is a long way) and too much time had passed where we also wanted different things and it was a great time in my life and I also need to move on and it is so strange how you can feel like you are the only one who is going through something li e this and then you find out randomly that you are probably one of many who are expriencing the same feelings of loss and the almost having to rediscover yourself. well anyway I am glad I read it and as you, I too believe that I will find (it) again..

Rich, I just wanted to say that your story was one of the most moving things I've read in some time. I also once found the man whom I thought I'd spend the rest of my life with. A man who was more than my Lover, he was my Friend and partner. I found that y hopes, goals and dreams, and his hopes, goals and dreams, became OUR hopes, goals and dreams. You didn't tell us why you and "Scott" never were able to get together, but, I have felt that same sense of loss, anger, confusion, and depression. I Lost my " cott" to AIDS. He was only 28 yrs old. We had 4 and a half wonderful years together, and I have to keep believing that there is another man out there somewhere for me. I know what being in a whole, Loving, trusting, Monogamous, Caring relationship feels l ke, and like you, I yearn for that same feeling again. My best friend sent me a link to your page and told me to read the most wonderful story he had ever read. He is also "bisexual", or atleast that is what he is comfortable with saying now. Your story is amazing. I too come from a fraternity/straight life in college. The times I had were amazing, some that make me yearn everyday to return to that life. I struggled with my sexuality and the realization that my life would be quite different if I indeed acted upon my thoughts. I too look back and realize that I was in love with my best friend/fraternity brother. Our lives changed completely and he is now married with children. It's funny how life works out. I just wanted you to know how your story drew me in. Im sitting at work in the downtown loop of Chicago and you had my complete attention, a rareity in my normal business day. I found your page completely randomly, but be sure that I will be passing thi site along to many of my friends so that they too can digest a story that has a personal touch for many of us. I am a 21 year old student who is still not out and has been in and out of relationships with girls but keep lying to myself about my sexuality. I was in a college fraternity also. I had a fiancee for 2 years while in college (she was a sorority sister) before my first male experience one summer. I realized after that that I was gay, broke up with her, and dropped the house in the same semester that's a story in itself). I had no really good friends in the house, anyway. Had some really good times though. Did not even fathom the possibility that any other brothers were gay. I was wrong. After college I found out that 2 of my pledge class wer gay and possibly some others in the house. If only I knew then...Presently, I am blessed to be in a relationship of 5 year and to have a great job where I am out & proud. I know you will find someone who loves you for who and what you are, and someone ho will be willing to sacrifice some of himself to be with you (god I sound like some some sappy counselor).
