Write Or call Your Elected Officials Often.

Our Elected Officials often are not aware of the number of people being affected by certain legislation. By constantly voicing your opinion to those officials, your voice joins with others and becomes loud enough to get their attention. When you write or call, ask for a written response from the Official--when the number of outgoing letters increase, it gets the attention of the officical's staff, and eventually, the official, thereby underscoring your opinion. If you do not know who your local representatives are, go to my Government Links Page and take the link to either legislative site, they both have listings with phone numbers and e-mail addresses.

Check Your Local State Web Site For New Legislation Often.

Almost every state in the union has a legislative information service containing all legislation and current laws. You can also check the voting records of your representatives! See my State Website Index!
