Alrighty then, so it seems the scene is set for the Canada
Day Party... spread the word...all welcome...
|
Your
party, should you choose to accept it, will take the combined format
of a backyard BBQ/potluck/booze fest. Backyard activities will include:
horseshoes, croquet, proximate frisbee, and a little something I like
to call "Bobbing for Carp". |
|
The
location is 29 First Avenue in the lovely Glebe. This intimate setting,
featuring a spacious backyard, mature trees, and immature residents,
will make your Canada Day experience one to remember. The proximity
of this beautiful property to Parliament Hill lends itself to relaxing
strolls among the insane crowds of idiots who insist on clogging up
the downtown with their minivans, buying ice-cream for their fat kids,
and treating the family to a hot-dog supper in the market. |
|
What
comes after 2? You do, baby. Damn. |
|
Dead
cow will be supplied by the residents for all our minions...er,
guests. Some of you lightweights may even wish to wait until it
has been cooked on the rotisserie.
Tree-huggers
may wish to bring non-cowlike edibles such as salad, bread, veggies,
veggie entrees, other grillables for the BBQ, potatoes, two-bite
brownies, and so on. Consider these excellent 'pot luck' choices.
If you don't bring it, we won't have it. Afterwards we will encourage
you to read your own poetry aloud and try and force others to conform
to your views.
|
|
There
may or may not be a limited supply of what may or may not turn out
to be alcohol, or alcohol-like beverages, supplied for your drinking
pleasure or any other pleasures you require. If you wish to ensure
the presence of wobbly-pops or fruity-girly drinks, it is recommended
that, prior to arriving at the party, you make arrangements with the
local beer store, liquor store, or depanneur for the delivery of such
consumables into your posession or the posession of someone whom you
know will be coming to the party or someone whom you will see prior
to the party to effect the obtainment of such consumables. Then cart
them on in with you. |

That's
Quebec-talk for "Let us know if you're coming, right?" |
