My father is a dead-ringer for Wilford Brimley, but he's not as big!

Born in Pembroke, Ontario to Harry and Bernadette McCann, my father is the 3rd of eleven children. He lived most of his life in Pembroke with a few short jaunts up to Northern Canada and out to Eastern Canada where he met my mother while attending St. Francis Xavier University.

Under his "gruff" nature you will find a man with a heart of gold who will do anything for anyone that is important in his life.

Dad's Retirement

Having a brilliant grasp of philosophical writings he was a teacher of law and accounting at our local high school where he imparted his vast knowledge upon his students up until the spring of 1998 when he retired.

Now with time on his hands, he will have time for the following:

  • His grandson Liam who is the light of his life!
  • His children's finances (if it wasn't for dad we'd all be penniless and whether he knows it or not we appreciate him looking out for us!)
  • Golfing - there's something wrong with the man with regards to this topic (we don't think he's human anymore! *grin*)
  • Woodworking - several of us have fine pieces of furniture in our homes which our father has lovingly handcrafted
  • Chocolate - okay this was going to be a joke about dad's M&M addiction, but actually in his "golden years" he has become a rep. for a major fund-raising company that specializes in chocolate bars
  • Television - okay, he's always had time for television, but at least now he'll have more time for it! *grin*
