My sister M.J. is an all-round talented, sassy, sexy individual! When she's not busy writing a song or a play you can find her at her office inflicting various degrees of pain on unsuspecting patients.

There is little that this girl can't, or hasn't done. Skiing across Europe and North America led her to a position on Canada's Olympic team at the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics. Here she competed in the demonstration sport of speed-skiing (much to the horror of my parents!) where she placed 11th in all of the world!! Not bad for a "valley girl"! *grin*

After successfully completing her degree in Communications from the University of Calgary, MJ has continued living in Calgary with her girlfriend Mariette. Together the two of them have collaborated on such things as:

  • a full-length musical production Spinster Girl - the Musical;
  • a stand-up comedy routine for the Victoria Fringe Festival; and
  • a musical comedy routine "Sourpuss and the Big Bad Music Machine."
In addition to her collaboratory works MJ has written several songs and has performed in many bands (the only one that I remember is Monkeys of Eden - sorry!)
