Lost and Found in Clearwater, FL

What can I say? This has been my headquarters for a long time. Besides being nearest me - I'm on the beach in Clearwater - this is by far one of the TG friendliest places I've been to in this country - bar none. You are genuinly welcomed and liked here - not just tolerated like a lot of gay bars that happen to have ashow or a T dance. Speaking of shows - how often, you ask? Try twice a night with shows SEVEN nights of the week at 10 and 12. Friday and Saturday are the big nights, with the place getting pretty packed by 9. Parking is convenient, not alot else around the area. A side door makes for convenient egress for the timid. There is a main show area, a quiet back pub with a large plate galss wall that let's you watch the show without the noise. A large patio and tiki bar surrounded by a privacy fence for rendezvous if you connect. A leather shop with some interesting goodies in the back by the pool table/game room. The ownership caters to our community, no matter how passable you will not be hassled. The bartenders will compliment you, the other girls will smile and say hello, and the "straight" guys will admire you and take you home if you encourage them. I have started off some truly memorable nights after hooking up with people here - it's where I return again and again. The people in the 7-11 are used to tall chicks coming in dressed in mini skirts looking for pantyhose and don't bat an eye at you. What else could you ask for? Shows are GREAT, too - and remember, I lived in Las Vegas. All in all - my first choice in the Tampa Bay area. Directions:
Very easy to find and get to. From Tampa cut across the Howard Franklin (I-275), get off at Ulmerton, take the 686 cut off,
and stay on that past the airport. Look for the 7-11 on the corner and you are there.
From St.Pete take 19 north to 686, head east about half a mile. It's next to the 7-11 on the corner.
Crowd is incredibly eclectic - TS,CD,TV,gay/lesbian,straight,Bi,tranny chasers, swinger couples,and an occasional couple from Iowa wondering why so many of the girls are so TALL....

The Thunderdome in Tampa, FL

Tampa's answer to Bourbon Street, Front Street, Duval Street. et al is Ybor City. This used to be the cuban section of town, and had many cigar making establishments back when Teddy Roosevelt prowled the area. After falling into neglect and disrepair for some years, smart investors began purchasing and renovating properties, and the area had a revival much like South Beach in Miami Beach did in the late 80s when I lived there. Ybor has become a trendy "in"`place to go for the Yupsters, Gen-X'ers, and other commercially targeted social groups. Here, nestled in among the other watering holes, you will find the Thunderdome. If you like your entertainment with a distinct Latin flavor (and I do, having lived in Miami) this is the place for you. Large room, top notch entertainers, drinks a tad expensive, but the crowd is always large. Tends to be younger than the other places here, and there are more straights than the other clubs. Parking is tight here, and you may find yourself out in public longer than you feel comfortable with. Also, Ybor is nestled next to the higher crime areas in the Tampa area, so you want to plan your entrance and exits to the area carefully - a wrong turn can drop you off in front of a crack house dressed up like you are looking for work. Directions:
Extremely easy - just get on I-275 headed North and look for Ybor City signs. Take my advice, though, and scout it out first - whick is smart for any trip out en femme. Crowd is into the party scene here for sure. Go in a group.

Club Mercedes Clearwater, FL

New on the scene but coming on fast is the Club Mercedes. Located on Route 19, it has easy access to anyone in the bay area. Inside it has a large dance floor, a second story balcony which intrigues the heck out of my girlfriend Robin, (That slut want to flash people down below, I KNOW it...) a large and well-stocked bar area, nice lighting, and several unisex bathrooms located around the floor. The talent contest show on Wednesday is the best I have ever been to, anywhere. Fridays and Saturdays there are two FI shows at 11PM and 12:30 AM. Sunday sounds EXTREMELY intriguing with blackouts, underwear shows, strip contest, and big dick contest. YUMMY! I cant WAIT to check that one out... Directions:
From East Bay or Ulmerton in Largo get on US 19 and head North. About a mile Past the overpass by the Countryside mall watch for the Rainbow emblem with Club Mercedes on it on the left side of the road. It's directly across from the Macaroni Grill. Crowd tends to be a little younger (20 somethings) than other places
