Homosexuality was decriminalised in 1991. It is now legal for two Gay men over the age of 21 to have consensual sex, in private. This follows British law. It is not,, and never has been, illegal for two women to have sex.

As far as is known there are no specific laws preventing anyone with AIDS or HIV from travelling to Hong Kong.

Circus Club is located in a commercial building famous for attacks by

just mainly for guys like to sing in front of the public and mainly
Chinese.

public holiday).
Happy Hours : 9.30 10:30 p.m..
Disco Hours 9:30-03:30 a.m. Entrance fee HK$60 weekends.
Hong Kongs largest and best disco club. Packed at weekends.
from **
Propaganda is a place I have been before; it is still the only 100% gay
pub and disco in HK (others have only 1 gay night or so) and because of
it it is quite expensive especially after 10.30pm on Fri and Sat nights;
better be there early (start from 9.30pm) to enjoy the cheaper drinks
during happy hours; I went there before the Dragon Boat Festival and it
charged $100 for the entrance fee (included a drink) and I found it very
unacceptable (the notice on the entrance counter for that fee was newly
posted and it did appear beforehand). What can we do, there is no place
to be a subtitute for it (very good for cruising :))???

Wally Matt Lounge (AW)
9, Cornwall Avenue
Tsim Sha Tsui
Tel 2367 6874
6 00 p.m. 3 00 am.
Wally Matt has been around for a long time; one glance will confirm that
its a really dated, dirty and uncomfortable bar. Added to this is the
quite obnoxious smell of greasy food. Despite or perhaps because of this
it is still popular with locals and vi sitors. Be prepared for slow and
slovenly service.

the Karaoke rooms and it is very good.

Game Boy's (GM)

The biggest steam/sauna in HK, reflected in the unfriendly attitude of the

using "rest-rooms". Mainly Chinese.

everyone has a different color scheme and the front room has got a
spectacular ocean view and the place is small but immaculate and clean.

 Beaches

Middle Bay
South Bay Road, Hong Kong
Mainly frequented by Gay men, especially at weekends.

The rocks Middle Bay
Area between Middle Bay and South Bay. Some nude sun-bathing (illegal) and
action in the bushes (also illegal). Approach from South Bay Road. Steep
path on the right-hand (sea side).

South Bay
South Bay Road, Hong Kong
Clean, sandy beach. Good fro making contact. No action. Also used by straights.
Cheung Sha Beach
Lantau Island
Middle Bay is now so well-known that it is dangerous. For safety's sake it
is better to make the 1-hour trip to Lantau Island and walk to the rather
remote Cheung Sha Beach. There are, in fact, two beaches - known as Upper
and Lower Cheung Sha beaches t he most exciting cruisey spot is between
the two, where there are few outsiders and where police patrols are rare
and therefore unlikely to disturb nude sunbathers and Gay couples.
