ICARE is a non-profit service agency that provides comprehensive practical
and emotional support to persons living with HIV/AIDS, their partners, families,
friends and to others affected by or concerned about HIV/AIDS. Services
are provided in a safe, accepting and non-judgmental atmostphere. Services
are free and confidential.

Quad Cities Affirming Diversity
QCAD brings lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and straight people together to learn from each other and to create an affirming community. This group sponsors among other things a First Thursday meeting each month with an important and interesting topic and speaker. Check their web page for times, locations, program and phone number.
Gay and Lesbian Resource Center of Cedar Rapids exists to provide information and referral center for the mutual support of gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgendered, our friends, our families, and to be an advocate for our rights. There activities includes many things including a newsletter Resouce Line, a monthly support group, and a library.

This radio show, heard on WSUI 910-AM on Sunday nights at 10 pm, has a website that is a good source of information on current events and news stories.
This wonderful television program from WNET-New York is
offered on many PBS stations but not on Iowa Public Television. You can
lodge your complaint by going to this site and finding the list of times
and places it shows. Click on Iowa and they will tell you how to ask that
our local affiliate put it on. While you are there you can see what we are
missing.
