For those that knew her, Cleopatra passed today, 8-4-08 at 14 1/2
years old. She had a good life and touched a lot of people
and other younger dogs and pups. Anyway she has gone to
play with Brutus and know she is having a ball already.
Update:09-17-03
Cleo has accepted a new kitty,"Arthur" a cat of a new roomate.
She has just been so open and accepting as has Arthur of her.
It is good to see her with someone again. This is the first housemate
she has had since Brutus pasted just over a year ago.
Cleopatra, Brutus' betrothed and a dear one in my heart, gave me
the greatest scare recently when I thought that she had passed.
I had prepared this page as a memorial when witnesses said that she had
been hit after she and Diamond had been scared off Sunday, Dec 13th.
I had spent three days searching and following leads with no luck,
I was truly devastated. Well this morning, Dec 21st, while checking
my mail after getting home from the club at about 4am, I saw this ragged
looking Cleo come wandering into the front yard. To coin a Christmas
expression, I lept to my feet and greeted her with so much love and
feeling, I felt as if part of my life had returned. She was a little
muddy which meant she had come home via the canal, the safe way under
DeRenne Ave, a six lane dog killer, where she had been seen almost
getting hit. Well after a bath and lots of licks, on her part, she is
home again. This is the best Christmas present I think I could have
gotten. When I get then scanned, famous last words, this page will
have Cleo pictures and I will get Brutus and Cleo's daughter Diamond's
page done
too. Well if anyone really wants to send another gift a scanner that
works would be great as the one I bought over a year ago never has
worked with this computer.
I love you Cleo.
Well here she is, finally got some pics back and a scanner
that works. Doesn't she look comfortable, I wish I had someone to put
me up like this.
